Answer

We have two silent study areas: the entire Mother Rosalie Hall Reading Room (both levels) and the west side of Copley main floor. Absolutely no talking is permitted in either area.

Brief, quiet conversations are allowed on the east side of Copley main floor and downstairs in the book stacks. Loud or prolonged conversations and all phone calls should be taken outside. For group study/collaboration, you can reserve a group study room here.

To make a complaint about noise, please call the Access Services desk at (619) 260-4799. If your complaint is not time sensitive, you can also email or text the library at http://libanswers.sandiego.edu/.
