I requested some books and articles that we don’t have at Copley Library. When will they arrive?

Answer

Circuit books

  • Books are borrowed from participating San Diego libraries
  • Typically received within 1-3 days
  • You can check your library account to see your Circuit requests and whether they are in transit.

ILL

  • Books, articles, etc. borrowed from libraries all over the world
  • Electronic copies of journal articles are typically received in 24-72 hours
  • Books are sent via surface mail and cannot be expedited. These typically take between ten days and two weeks to arrive but sometimes longer, depending on the library we’re receiving from.
  • Check your ILL account (ILLiad) to see what you have requested.

Note: time frames are for business days only; weekends and holidays will delay processing and transit. You will be notified via email when your items arrive.
