How do I connect to library databases from home?
How do I access library ebooks, articles, and other online resources from off campus?
Answer
Remote (off-campus) access to research databases and other online library resources is limited to current USD students, faculty, and staff. Links to these resources on our website are designed to prompt you to authenticate with either your USDOne login or library barcode, so make sure to start on our library website when doing research from off campus.
When prompted to log in, you'll be offered two options to authenticate into the system:
1) USDOne login: username and password, or
2) Library Account login: Your last name and 14-digit barcode (begins with 2507).
If you have trouble connecting please contact us for assistance.

If you find a resource elsewhere on the web, you will not be recognized as affiliated with USD. Check the library main search box on our library homepage to see if we have access. If not, you can request the resource via our Interlibrary Loan Service. Note: Google Scholar can be configured to point to USD full-text access; see the steps here.
