What disability resources does the library provide?

Answer

Wheelchair access

There is a ramp to accommodate wheelchairs just a few yards to the east of the stairs leading up to the main entrance. If you are traveling east on Marian Way the ramp intersects the sidewalk in front of the library just before you reach Camino Hall.

Assistive technology

A desktop computer equipped with assistive technology is is located right in front of Reference Desk and next to Access Services Desk. It is connected to a scanner that allows patrons to use software such as Window-Eyes.

Express Books

To provide easier access to materials in Copley Library, USD students, faculty, and staff can request that materials on Copley’s shelves be retrieved by library staff and held at the Access Services desk for pickup. To request (also known as “placing a hold”), first find the item in the library catalog: http://sallypro.sandiego.edu/. Click the grey Request it button then follow the prompts. An email is sent to the requestor when the materials are ready for pickup.
